Spangels 2 Royal United 0

BNESL Division Three

Two home games and two wins, both by the same two-nil scoreline. Spangels again controlled this match and ended up comfortable winners against a poor Royal United side.

The scoring was opened early in the game by the prolific Whiteman, who volleyed home from eight yards after another wonder-ball from Lowe, this goal a replica of the one against Panfield. Chances were also created for Collis and Weeks (on his debut), but no further goals were added before half time.

There was a scare mid-way through the first half, with the Spangels post struck from close range, but apart from this effort, Royal United looked unlikely to score.

The second half saw Collis notch his first competitive goal for the club after good work by Weeks on the right. Two Royal defenders got in a tangle and Collis swept the ball home from close range.

Collis was guilty of missing an open net later on in the half, as was Wilson (twice!). However, there was little chance of Spangels letting this one slip and they have now bagged six points from three games.

Team; Seymour, Lynch, Sayer, Pritchard, Theobald (C), Lowe, Winsborough, Wilson, P.Weeks (Underdown), Collis (1), Whiteman (1).

I feel a phoney ... I am too short to accept this.

I don't have gay hair, nor do I have rediculous amounts of body hair ... I should not be here in the company of such freaks, where's my sherry.

Have to go, greenbelt to build on.

The un-erring ability of the MOM to write a witty retort is impressing this website administrator...

Well that reads like poor grammar ...

Here's a riddle for you.

The back four can stop them, but the others struggle to score them.

The back four this week however will be weakend by the absence of the Lynch.
