New Dawn Begins...

Spangels venture in to the wonderful world of 6-a-side begins on Monday 29th Janaury, with a kick-off time of 8.30pm.

Their opponents go by the name of East Street 80, which Spangels will hope is the average team age. Most of the squad have seen no football action since September 24th, which saw Spangels acrimonious departure from the BNESL in a 9-0 defeat (including a punch-up!).

Spangels are expected to adopt a pragmatic approach to selecting the side from those who arrive on time. The mighty squad is made up of the following footballing maestroes (L-R);
Dan Sayer (and Guiness)
Dan Williams (just)
Paul Whiteman (possibly)
Chris Lynch (kneeling)
Ian Pritchard
Jon Tivey
Craig Ramsay
Richard Winsborough (kneeling, or prehaps he's actually standing!)
Dan Wilson
Matt Theobald
Dan Lowe

A Dan-Dan-Dan-Dan combination is a certainty during the season...

Spangels Are In!

(Well, they've cashed my cheque!)

Pain has returned to the lives of Spangels FC in the form of Football Mundial's 6-a-side league, held on Monday evenings. Following the demise of Spangels' Braintree & North Essex Sunday league side, the fields of Essex (well, astro-turf) will once again be graced by the footballing genius of Lowe, Ramsay, Sayer, Theobald, Tivey, Williams, Wilson, Lynch, Winsborough and Pritchard.

Further confirmation of fixtures and kick-off times to follow. Watch this space...
